Adayar was born in 2018. He is by Frankel out of Anna Salai by Dubawi.
Adayar, an imposing son of European Horse of the Year and British and Irish Champion Sire Frankel, became the first horse since his grandsire Galileo to complete the Group 1 Derby and the Group 1 King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes double in the same year. He romped to victory in the Derby by four and a half lengths and then went on to beat his elders in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes, defeating Group 1 winners Mishriff, Love, and Broome.
Adayar entered stud in Japan in 2024. His first foals are yearlings of 2026.
