Mayano Top Gun was born in 1992. He is by Brian's Time out of Alp Me Please by Blushing Groom.
Mayano Top Gun was awarded Horse of the Year and Best Three-Year-Old Colt in Japan in 1995. He recorded four top-tier victories: the Arima Kinen (Grand Prix), the Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger), the Tenno Sho (spring) and the Takarazuka Kinen. In the Tenno Sho (spring), he set a Japanese record over 3200 meters on turf.
Mayano Top Gun entered stud in Japan in 1998. Among his best progeny are Grade 2 winners Mousquetaire, King Top Gun, and Meisho Tokon.
He died in 2019 at the age of 27.
