Bricks and Mortar was born in 2014. He is by Giant's Causeway out of Beyond the Waves by Ocean Crest.
Bricks and Mortar was awarded Horse of the Year in the U.S.A. and Champion Turf Male in 2019.
Showing an amazing burst of acceleration, Bricks and Mortar claimed his first Grade 1 victory in the Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational Stakes in January in 2019. He then went on to win the Grade 2 Muniz Memorial Handicap, the Grade 1 Turf Classic Stakes, the Grade 1 Manhattan Stakes, the Grade 1 Arlington Million Stakes, and finished his perfect 6-for-6 season by capturing the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Turf.
Bricks and Mortar entered stud in Japan in 2020. His first crop hit the track in 2023. He has sired some good winners, including Diamond Knot, who won the Grade 2 Keio Hai Nisai Stakes and finished 2nd in the Grade 1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes; Gonbade Qabus, who won the Grade 3 Saudi Arabia Royal Cup; Ammothyella, who captured the Listed (Jpn1) JBC Ladies Classic (twice) and the Jpn3 Blue Bird Cup; and Aigle Noir, who took the Listed (Jpn2) Hyogo Junior Grand Prix and finished 2nd in the Listed (Jpn1) Zen-Nippon Nisai Yushun.
