Caravaggio, a son of international successful sire Scat Daddy, rounded off his unbeaten 2yo career with an impressive victory in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes. His winning streak stretched to six when he captured the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup, beating subsequent European Champion Sprinters Harry Angel and Blue Point at 3. He also won the Group 2 Coventry Stakes, the Group 2 Flying Five Stakes, and the Group 3 Lacken Stakes.
Caravaggio entered stud in Ireland in 2018. He moved to Japan for the 2023 season.
Tenebrism became the first Group 1 winner for his sire when winning the Cheveley Park Stakes in 2021 and added another Group 1 victory in the Prix Jean Prat in 2022. In 2023, Porta Fortuna captured the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes, and Whitebeam landed the Grade 1 Diana Stakes. In 2024, Porta Fortuna won three consecutive Group 1s: the Coronation Stakes, the Falmouth Stakes, and the Matron Stakes en route to European Champion Three-Year-Old Filly, and Whitebeam became a back-to-back Diana winner.
Among his other best progeny are Agartha, who won the Group 2 Debutante stakes; Maljoom, who took the Group 2 Mehl Mulhens Rennen; and Aguri, who won the Grade 3 Hankyu Hai.
