Duramente was awarded Best Three-Year-Old Colt in Japan in 2015. A son of Japanese Derby winner King Kamehameha and Japanese Best Older Mare Admire Groove, Duramente stormed home from the rear to win the Grade 1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) and then secured his second classic victory in the Grade 1 Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) in a race record time of 2:23.2 over 2400m on turf. He also took the Grade 2 Nakayama Kinen, and finished 2nd in the Grade 1 Takarazuka Kinen and the Group 1 Dubai Sheema Classic, in which he ripped a shoe off before the race and ran without his off fore shoe on.
Duramente entered stud in Japan in 2017. Among his best progeny are Japanese Fillies' Triple Crown winner Liberty Island; Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger), Tenno Sho (spring), and Takarazuka Kinen winner Titleholder; Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) and Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) winner Stars on Earth; Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger) winner Durezza, Hopeful Stakes winner Dura Erede; and NHK Mile Cup winner Champagne Color.
He was crowned Japanese Champion Sire in 2023.
He died in 2021 at the age of 9.
