Cafe Pharoah, a half brother to four-time Grade 1 winner and Eclipse Champion Regal Glory, is the only Grade 1 winning son on dirt in Japan of American Triple Crown winner American Pharoah. He landed the Grade 1 February Stakes at 4 and defended his title by 2 1/2 lengths in a track record-tying 1:33.8 over 1600 meters on dirt at Tokyo at 5. He also won the Listed (Jpn1) Mile Championship Nambu Hai and finished 3rd in the Group 1 Saudi Cup.
