Suave Richard captured his first Grade 1 victory in the Osaka Hai holding off the Grade 1 Mile Championship winner Persian Knight at 4. He added another notable victory to his CV as he claimed the Grade 1 Japan Cup beating three Japanese Derby winners: Wagnerian, Makahiki, and Rey de Oro at 5. He also finished 2nd in the Grade 1 Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby).
Suave Richard entered stud in Japan in 2020. His first foals are 2-year-olds of 2023.
