Real Steel, a son of Japanese Champion Sire Deep Impact and a direct descendant of wonder mare Miesque, captured the Group 1 Dubai Turf, holding off Grade 1 heroine Euro Charline. He also finished 2nd in the Grade 1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas), the Grade 1 Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger), and the Grade 1 Tenno Sho (autumn). His full-sister Loves Only You made history when becoming the first ever Breeders' Cup winner for Japan in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf in 2021.
Real Steel entered stud in Japan in 2019.
In 2023, Forever Young took the Listed (Jpn1) Zen-Nippon Nisai Yushun.
In 2024, Forever Young was honored with JRA Special Award. In Japan, he captured the Grade 1 Tokyo Daishoten and the Listed (Jpn1) Japan Dirt Classic, and on the international stage, he won the Group 2 UAE Derby and the Group 3 Saudi Derby and finished 3rd in both the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby and the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Classic.
In 2025, Forever Young was named the Horse of the Year in Japan, Best Dirt Horse in Japan, Best Older Colt or Horse in Japan, and Champion Older Dirt Male in the U.S.A., after triumphing the Group 1 Saudi Cup, the world's richest race, defeating Hong Kong racing legend Romantic Warrior and the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Classic, besting the reigning Breeders' Cup Classic winner Sierra Leone.
Among his other best progeny are Lebensstil, who landed the three Grade 2 races: Mainichi Okan, All Comers, and St. Lite Kinen; Admire Quads, who won the Grade 2 Daily Hai Nisai Stakes; and All Parfait, who won the Grade 2 Daily Hai Nisai Stakes.
