Screen Hero was plagued by injury in his early racing career, but captured the Grade 1 Japan Cup at 4, beating Grade 1 winners such as Vodka, Deep Sky, and Meisho Samson.
Screen Hero entered stud in Japan in 2010. Among his best progeny are Japanese Horse of the Year Maurice, who won six Grade or Group 1 races including the Hong Kong Cup, and Tenno Sho (autumn); Arima Kinen (Grand Prix) winner Gold Actor; and Hong Kong Vase winner Win Marilyn.
