Pyro was born in 2005. He is by Pulpit out of Wild Vision by Wild Again.
Good stretch runner Pyro won the Grade 1 Forego stakes at 4, and won three graded events including the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby at 3. His sire Pulpit, a son of North American Champion Sire A.P. Indy, is well known as a sire of sires, siring North American Champion Sire Tapit.
Pyro entered stud in Japan in 2010.
In 2023, Meisho Hario added two more Listed (Jpn1) victories to his resume with wins in the Teio Sho and the Kashiwa Kinen, following his 2022 Teio Sho triumph.
In 2025, Meisho Hario captured the Listed (Jpn1) Kawasaki Kinen. Also in 2025, Pyromancer maintained his perfect record by edging out his rivals to claim the Listed (Jpn1) Zen-Nippon Nisai Yushun, making it three wins from three starts.
