Logotype was born in 2010. He is by Lohengrin out of Stereotype by Sunday Silence.
Logotype was awarded Best Two-Year-Old Colt in Japan in 2012.
Logotype closed his 2yo season with an upset victory in the Grade 1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes. He started his 3yo campaign by winning the Grade 2 Spring Stakes and then went on to capture the Grade 1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) while setting course record time of 1:58.0 over 2000m at Nakayama. Although he had not won a race since his classic triumph, he posted a wire-to-wire victory in the Grade 1 Yasuda Kinen at 6 with Maurice, the reigning Horse of the Year in Japan, finishing 2nd.
Logotype entered stud in Japan in 2018. Among his best progeny are Mitono O, who landed the Grade 3 Heian Stakes and the Listed (Jpn2) Hyogo Championship; Omega Guiness, who won the Listed Green Channel Cup (twice) and finished 2nd in the Grade 2 Tokai Stakes; Pod Logo, who took the Listed Fukushima Minyu Cup; and Lovely Your Eyes, who finished 2nd in the Grade 1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies and 3rd in the Grade 2 Keio Hai Nisai Stakes.
