By Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner and successful sire Unbridled's Song, Will Take Charge won five graded races, including the Grade 1 Travers Stakes, known as "the Midsummer Derby", and the Grade 1 Clark Handicap. He also finished 2nd by just a nose in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Classic. His dam Take Charge Lady captured three Grade 1 races, including Spinster Stakes (twice) and produced two other Grade 1 winners Take Charge Indy and As Time Goes By. She is also the grandam of Grade 1 winners Omaha Beach and Take Charge Brandi.
Will Take Charge entered stud in the U.S.A. in 2015. He moved to Japan for the 2023 season.
He has sired some good winners including There Goes Harvard, who landed the Grade 1 Hollywood Gold Cup; Manny Wah, who took the Grade 2 Phoenix Stakes; Esidio, who won the Group 2 Clasico Hipodromo de Monterrico (twice); and Will's Secret, who took the Grade 3 Honeybee Stakes and finished 3rd in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks.
