Real Impact was born in 2008. He is by Deep Impact out of Tokio Reality by Meadowlake.
Real Impact is a two-time Grade/Group 1 winning miler. He became the first 3-year-old to win the Grade 1 Yasuda Kinen. He also scored in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes by beating the Australian Derby and subsequent Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Criterion at 7. He is a half-brother to the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup winner Neorealism.
Real Impact entered stud in Japan in 2016. His first crop son Lauda Sion won the Grade 1 NHK Mile Cup in 2019 and the Grade 2 Keio Hai Spring Cup in 2021.
Among his other best progeny are Count De Rupee, who won the Group 2 Victory Stakes and finished 2nd in the Golden Eagle; Mozu Meimei, who landed the Grade 2 Tulip Sho and the Grade 3 Aoi Stakes; and Lunar Impact, who won the Group 3 Western Australian Oaks.
