His best son and two-time Japanese Horse of the Year Kitasan Black won seven Grade 1 races: the Arima Kinen (Grand Prix), the Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger), the Japan Cup, the Tenno Sho (Spring) (twice), the Tenno Sho (Autumn), and the Osaka Hai.
