Pyro was born in 2005. He is by Pulpit out of Wild Vision by Wild Again.
Good stretch runner Pyro won the Grade 1 Forego stakes at 4, and won three graded events including the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby at 3. His sire Pulpit, a son of North American Champion Sire A.P. Indy, is well known as a sire of sires, siring North American Champion Sire Tapit.
Pyro entered stud in Japan in 2010.
In 2022, Meisho Hario landed the Listed (Jpn1) Teio Sho, beating Champions Cup hero Chuwa Wizard.
In 2023, Meisho Hario added two more Listed (Jpn1) victories to his resume by winning the Teio Sho and the Kashiwa Kinen. Meisho Hario also won the Grade 3 Miyako Stakes in 2021 and the Grade 3 March Stakes in 2022.
Among his other best progeny are Mutually, who captured the Listed (Jpn1) JBC Classic and was awarded NAR Horse of the Year; Kenshinko, who won the Grade 3 Leopard Stakes; and B B Barrel, who captured the Grade 3 Fairy Stakes.
