Real Steel was born in 2012. He is by Deep Impact out of Loves Only Me by Storm Cat.
Real Steel, a son of Japanese Champion Sire Deep Impact and a direct descendant of wonder mare Miesque, captured the Group 1 Dubai Turf holding off Grade 1 heroine Euro Charline. He also won the Grade 2 Mainichi Okan and the Grade 3 Kyodo News Service Hai. In addition, he finished 2nd in the Grade 1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) and the Geade 1 Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger), the first and third legs of the Japanese Triple Crown, and was also runner-up to Maurice in the Grade 1 Tenno Sho (autumn). His full-sister Loves Only You made history when becoming the first ever Breeders' Cup winner for Japan in the Filly & Mare Turf in 2021.
Real Steel entered stud in Japan in 2019. His first crop hit the track in 2022.
In 2024, Forever Young, who took the Listed (Jpn1) Zennippon Nisai Yushun and the Listed (Jpn3) JBC Nisai Yushun in 2023, finished a very close 3rd in the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby after winning the Group 2 UAE Derby and the Group 3 Saudi Derby.
Among his other best progeny are Lebensstil, who landed the Grade 2 St. Lite Kinen; All Parfait, who won the Grade 2 Daily Hai Nisai Stakes; and Dona Betty, who finished 2nd in the Grade 3 Fantasy Stakes.
