Harbinger smashed the course record to take the Group 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes by a race record of 11 lengths and was rated 135 as the best horse in the 2010 World Thoroughbred Rankings. He is one of the best sons of a proven sire Dansili, the sire of Arc winner Rail Link and five-time Group 1 winner Flintshire.
Harbinger entered stud in Japan in 2011.
In 2023, Namur captured the Grade 1 Mile Championship against males, flying over the final 600 meters in 33.0 seconds. In 2024, Cervinia rallied to win the second leg of the Japanese Fillies' Triple Crown, the Grade 1 Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks), defeating Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) heroine Stellenbosch.
Among his other best progeny are Deirdre, who won the Grade 1 Shuka Sho, and then became just the second Japanese-trained horse to win a Group 1 in Britain since Agnes World took the July Cup in 2000 when capturing the Nassau Stakes in 2019; Blast Onepiece, who won the Grade 1 Arima Kinen (Grand Prix); and Normcore, who took the Group 1 Hong Kong Cup and the Grade 1 Victoria Mile.
He was crowned Japanese Champion Freshman Sire in 2014.
