A half-brother to Grade 1 Takarazuka Kinen and Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup winner Marialite, Chrysoberyl defeated Grade 1 Champions Cup winner Gold Dream and Grade 1 February Stakes winner Inti to win the Grade 1 Champions Cup at 3 with an unbeaten six-race winning streak. Although he was plagued by injury in his racing career, he also won three Jpn1 races: the Teio Sho, the JBC Classic, and the Japan Dirt Derby.
Chrysoberyl entered stud in Japan in 2022. His first foals are yearlings of 2024.
