Van Gogh was born in 2018. He is by American Pharoah out of Imagine by Sadler's Wells.
Van Gogh, a son of American Triple Crown winner American Pharoah and English Oaks winner Imagine, captured the Group 1 Criterium International by four lengths and was awarded European Champion Two-Year-Old Colt in 2020. He is a half-brother to Group 1 Prix Jean Luc Lagardere victor Horatio Nelson.
Van Gogh entered stud in Japan in 2022. His first foals are yearlings of 2024.
