Fenomeno was born in 2009. He is by Stay Gold out of De Laroche by Danehill.
Fenomeno, making his second start of a comeback from injury, made it back-to-back victories in the Grade 1 Tenno Sho (spring) in 2014. He also captured the Grade 2 Nikkei Sho, the Grade 2 St. Lite Kinen, and the Grade 2 Aoba Sho. He was a very versatile horse and capable to run well from middle to long distances.
Fenomeno entered stud in Japan in 2016. His first crop hit the track in 2019. He has sired some good winners including Kitano Octopus, who finished 3rd in the Listed (Jpn1) Japan Dirt Derby; Thrilling Dream, and M T Ehre.
